APPROXIMATELY 10 MIN AFTER TAKEOFF THE ACFT IMPACTED A RIDGE OF A CANYON AT 5,500 FT MSL ABOUT 200 FT BELOW THE RIDGE LINE. THE DENSITY ALTITUDE WAS 8,900 FT.
