THE ENG LOST POWER WHILE CRUISING AT 3000 FEET. THE PILOT DETERMINED THAT THE ENGINE POWER LOSS WAS DUE TO A RESTRICTED FUEL LINE JUST AHEAD OF THE GASCOLATOR. A RESTRICTION OF THE INLET PORT OF THE GASOCALATOR RESULTED FROM ELECTROLYTIC CORROSION OF A STEEL PLUG IN THE AUXILIARY INLET PORT IN THE ALUMINUM HOUSING OF THE GASCOLATOR. THE CORROSION BUILDUP APPARENTLY BECAME DISLODGED CLOGGING THE ADJACENT PORT. THE PILOT/BUILDER RECOMMENDED CAUTION IN THE USE OF DISSIMILAR METALS IN THE FUEL SYSTEM.
