THE PLT REPORTED THAT DURING A NIGHT LANDING, THE RIGHT MAIN GEAR FAILED & THE ACFT WENT OFF THE RIGHT SIDE OF THE RWY. AN FAA INVESTIGATOR REPORTED THAT THE ACFT HAD TOUCHED DOWN HARD DURING THE LANDING.
