THE ACFT WAS DESTROYED BY FIRE DURING AN EMERGENCY LANDING. SHORTLY AFTER DEPATURE THE ACFT COCKPIT FILLED WITH HEAVY SMOKE. THE PLT ATTEMPTED TO RETURN TO THE ARPT BUT COULD NOT BECAUSE OF THE HEAVY SMOKE IN THE COCKPIT. EFFORTS TO ELIMINATE IT WERE UNSUCCESSFUL. AN OFF ARPT LANDING WAS MADE AND INTENSE FIRE CONSUMED THE ACFT AFTER IT SLID TO STOP. IT WAS NOT POSSIBLE TO DETERMINE THE ORIGIN OF THE SMOKE OR THE CAUSE OF THE FIRE.
