THE PILOT SAID THAT DURING APP TO LDG HE ENCOUNTERED UNFAVORABLE WINDS IN SHEER OR WIND DIRECTION CHANGE CAUSING THE A/C TO DROP 4-5 FT ONTO THE R/W RESULTING IN SUBSTANTIAL DAMAGE TO THE A/C.
