THE STUDENT PILOT LOST DIRECTIONAL CONTROL OF THE HELICOPTER AND AS THE INSTRUCTOR PILOT ATTEMPTED TO REGAIN CONTROL, THE MAIN ROTOR BLADES STRUCK THE GROUND CAUSING SUBSTANTIAL DAMAGE TO THE AIRCRAFT.
