DURING THE TAKEOFF RUN, THE LEFT MAIN SKI AXLE FAILED & THE ACFT GROUND LOOPED TO THE LEFT & WAS DAMAGED. AN EXAM REVEALED THE AXLE HAD FAILED FROM FATIGUE IN AN AREA OF CORROSION.
