THE PILOT STATED THAT WHILE ON A SLOW SHALLOW APPROACH TO A SHORT LANDING STRIP, HE ENCOUNTERED A DOWNDRAFT JUST SHORT OF THE STRIP. THE AIRPLANE SUBSEQUENTLY LANDED HARD.
