THE PILOT REPORTED THAT HE ATTEMPTED TO RETURN TO THE AIRPORT AFTER A LOCAL SOARING FLIGHT. HE ENCOUNTERED A 'SUDDEN HEAVY SINK' AND IMPACTED TREES NEAR A FIELD LOCATED ABOUT TWO MILES FROM THE AIRPORT.
