The airplane sustained substantial damage during a wheels down touch and go on water. The pilot and passenger were uninjured. The pilot said, '...did touch [and] go in Rend Lake with gear down.' He stated, 'Aircraft flipped over and floated on surface of water.' He further stated, 'Visibility good, wind mild, water calm.' The pilot's safety recommendation was, 'Remember to put gear up before touch [and] go on water.'
