On April 25, 2008, at approximately 1010 Universal Time Coordinated (UTC), a single-engine Cessna U206, F-GSGT, collided with terrain during landing and was destroyed. The pilot and passenger were fatally injured. The airplane was landing at a private airstrip near Ciudad Real, Spain when the airplane exited the airstrip and impacted a gully. The accident investigation is under the jurisdiction and control of the Comision de Investigacion de Accidentes e Incidentes de Aviacion Civil of Spain (CIAIAC).
