On December 6, 2014, at approximately 10:30 UTC, a Yakutia Airlines Boeing 757-236PCF, registration VQ-BPY experienced a decompression and cargo door opening approximately 4 minutes after takeoff from Magadan, Russian Federation. The Department for Inspection of Flight Safety, Federal Air Transport Agency of the Russian Federation is investigating. As state of manufacturer of the airplane, the National Transportation Safety Board has appointed an accredited representative.
