On August 4, 2015, at 1315 coordinated universal time, a Cessna 172F, Guatemalian registration TG-ZAB, operated by AFYCO S.A., was destroyed when it impacted the terrain near La Blanca, Guatemala, during an aerial application flight. The pilot was fatally injured. The flight originated from a private airstrip in La Blanca, Guatemala. The accident investigation is under the jurisdiction and control of the Guatemalan government.
