On July 15, 2016, about 1910 coordinated universal time (UTC), a Rans S-6, EC-YDQ, sustained substantial damage when it impacted terrain after a loss of control while landing at the Los Garranchos Airport, Murcia, Spain. The pilot received fatal injuries. The investigation is under the jurisdiction of the Government of Spain.
