The pilot of the tailwheel-equipped airplane reported that during the landing roll, the airplane veered left and he corrected with rudder. The airplane then veered to the right, ground looped and exited the right side of the runway. The left main landing gear collapsed, and the left wing and elevator struck the surface. The airplane sustained substantial damage to the left elevator. The pilot reported that there were no preaccident mechanical failures or malfunctions with the airplane that would have precluded normal operation.
