The pilot reported that during the initial ground effect phase of a soft field takeoff, the airplane drifted left of the runway centerline. The left wing subsequently impacted trees near the edge of the runway and came to rest against a tree line adjacent to the turf runway. The airplane’s fuselage, left wing, and left horizontal stabilizer were substantially damaged during the accident sequence. The pilot reported that there were no preaccident mechanical failures or malfunctions with the airplane that would have precluded normal operation.
